The post on their Facebook page states: “Please be advised that the social media post circulating regarding the shutdown of all Barbados Water Authority (BWA) pumping stations is false.

Any information on the operations of the BWA during the approach of Hurricane Maria will be disseminated by officials of that agency or via the Barbados Government Information Service.” (BARBADOS NATION)
