Songwriters get avenue to improve skills

Songwriters once again have a chance to improve their songwriting skills with the second staging of the Writers Block seminar.

The initiative, which is being put on by Dark Room Recordings, provides writing sessions, music development scholarships and recording contracts to young talented artistes.

During a launch last week at Sky Mall Haggatt Hall, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth once again threw its support behind the project.

Creator Bakari Murray thanked the ministry for supporting his vision and said his aim is to produce solid lyrical content, but not to censor the artistes.  (TG)
