Canadian deported

Canadian visitor Mellissa McMillan, 37, who was charged with a number of drug related offences committed at the Grantley Adams International Airport on Wednesday, September 20, reappeared before Chief Magistrate Christopher Birch in the District ‘C’ Magistrates Court today.

She had been remanded to prison after her first court appearance on September 21.

She pleaded guilty to all of the charges and was fined $15 000 forthwith, for possesses ion of cannabis; $10 000 forthwith for importation of cannabis, and reprimanded and discharged for trafficking of cannabis, and possession of cannabis with intent to supply.

The fines were paid, and she was handed over to immigration for deportation. (PR)
