LONDON – Barbadian all-rounder Jofra Archer has been rewarded with a three-year contract extension by Sussex following an impressive first full season with the English county.
After the season wrapped up last Thursday, the county moved quickly to tie down the fast bowling all-rounder until the end of the 2020 season.
The 22-year-old played a handful of matches at the end of last season with resounding success, forcing Sussex to sign him until the end of the 2017 season.
And after the 13-match campaign which yielded a remarkable 638 runs at an average of 45.57 and 61 wickets at 25.29 apiece, Archer will now remain in the south-east for the next three seasons. (CMC/HG)
