It is no longer “up and on” for popular physical education teachers Roddy Estwick and Michael “Abu” Worrell at Combermere School.

Investigations by the WEEKEND NATION reveal that while the two coaches have not been officially given termination letters, their yearly contracts have not been renewed.

Whereas former Barbados fast bowler Estwick was initially granted leave since June last year when he took up the job of bowling coach with the West Indies cricket team, Worrell, a standout former Barbados athlete, has not received a contract for two consecutive years.

When contacted yesterday, Estwick, who returned home only last week following the West Indies’ tour of England, said he was in the dark about the whole situation. (EZS)
