Marijuana discovered in mayonnaise boxes on CAL flight

ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Antigua and Barbuda law enforcement authorities have intercepted several boxes containing marijuana that arrived on the island on board a Caribbean Airlines (CAL) flight from Jamaica on Thursday.

The authorities said that the drugs were concealed in bottles packaged in several boxes of mayonnaise that were packed in four boxes which were discovered on the CAL flight 459.

They gave no details as to the weight of the marijuana or the street value.

They said that no one claimed the boxes on its arrival here, but they were addressed to a company in the capital.

The police have not released the name of the company and no one has yet been arrested in relation to the discovery. (CMC)
