Both Barbados and British soldiers have had to submit themselves to lie detector tests, as police try to find the pistol that disappeared from the Barbados Defence Force’s Paragon, Christ Church base two weeks ago.

The handgun, a Glock, which belonged to a British soldier who was part of a contingent in the Caribbean providing relief and support for the islands affected by hurricanes Irma and Maria went missing after he checked it in at Paragon.

A senior police officer told the SUNDAY SUN that no stone was being left unturned in their quest to find the gun.

“We have also conducted searches at the homes of personnel, he stated, adding that officials from the British High Commission in Barbados as well as senior officials from the British Defence Force were constantly in contact with police officials. (MB)
