The National Gym’s Christopher Harris produced a remarkable first-round right hook to defeat Antonio Rollins in the 81-kilogramme category to highlight the Barbados Boxing Association’s card on Saturday night.
The blow to Rollins’ face resulted in the referee stopping the contest and it was enough for Harris to clinch the victory at the National Stadium gym.
Rollins fought well within his reach, but with Harris possessing a longer reach and stronger technique, he was able to score at will.
In another bout, Shaquan Lashley of the National Gym was declared the winner on points, defeating Belfield’s Charles Cox in the 75-kilo category. (RG)
