Over 1 000 seek Sandals jobs

Over 1 000 Barbadians were on the hunt for employment as the second Sandals job fair was held yesterday.

The hunting ground was the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre where applicants, most of them young people, stood in lines that snaked the entire forecourt of the Two Mile Hill, St Michael facility.

From as early as 6:30 a.m., scores stood in queues to be interviewed for a spot at Sandals Royal Barbados.

The applicants were very orderly, unlike three years ago when pushing got the better of many for the Sandals Resort and Spa job fair. (SB)
