The David Thompson Memorial Constituency Councils’ Classic is proving to be a happy hunting ground for former Barbados footballers and promising juniors.

When the action continued on Friday night, former Barbados winger Jason Blackman engineered St James North’s 6-0 thrashing of St Joseph at Speightstown while talented T’Shane Lorde led St Philip North to a 4-1 triumph over St Michael West Central at Friendship with a brace.

Blackman opened the scoring in the 19th minute and added a second in the 59th minute in a second half goal feast by St James North, which saw Javan Best making a double strike in the 76th and 80th minutes. Rashad Blackman (50th) and Omar Archer (64th) also found the nets.

In the other game at Speightstown, St George North defeated St Peter 2-0, courtesy goals by Jakobi Boucher (9th) and Shaquille Bailey (68th). (EZS)
