An hour after the usual closing time of Sherton Centre Mall in Sargeant’s Village, Christ Church came alive with the piercing sound of two fire tenders entering the compound.

Police public relations officer, acting Inspector Roland Cobbler, this morning confirmed the activity.

“Sometime after 10 p.m. last night, the Fire Services received a call of a fire at Sheraton. Two fire tenders responded with six officers under the command of division officer Errol Gaskin and Shurland Mayers. Upon investigation it was identified that two of the air condition units in the roof were smoking. That was addressed and repairs are on-going this morning. No damage was done to the complex,” he said. (RA)
