BARBADOS will be riding on the hopes of another Kelly.
Talented young cyclist Jacob Kelly is looking to follow in the path of his older brother, Joshua, by finally breaking through with a medal at this weekend’s Junior Caribbean Elite Road Race Championships in Lucas Street.
The two-day meet is set to come just weeks after the elder Kelly delivered his third straight medal-winning performance at the senior Caribbean level.
But fortune hasn’t quite favoured Jacob, who agonisingly missed out on a podium finish with three successive fourth-place showings in the juvenile/junior time trial. (JM)
