A pregnant mother of one, and the sole breadwinner of a five-member family was unsure of her next move after she was evicted from her Jackman’s Lane, Goodland, St Michael home in the pouring rain yesterday.

Angela Rudder, who has lived in the two-bedroom wooden house for the past ten years, was said to have been evicted due to non-payment of the $350 per month rent for 11 months, according to bailiff George Alleyne.

When a Saturday Sun team arrived at the residence, two men were busily emptying the house of the occupants’ personal effects, under the watchful eye of the marshal, Alleyne, and the owner of the house, Shirline Lewis. The occupants were not present.

While residents stood on the opposite side of the road watching the proceedings, many were very vocal about the “unfair treatment” being meted out to Rudder, her sister, and their children, aged 13, eight and seven. (RA)
