What a sweet surprise!
This time the tables were turned on the three finalists in the Sweet Treat category of Bim’s Best. Instead of being the ones delighting someone else with a sweet surprise like one of their special occasion cakes, they were the ones who were on the receiving end of the surprise – learning they had been nominated by satisfied customers as some of Bim’s Best.
Rictoria Forde declared herself “excited but still shocked” when she was informed that she had been nominated while Leanda McConney of LoveLee Cakes said she felt “extremely honoured and happy” to know her work had pleased a customer enough for them to nominate her.

How do you feel about being nominated for Bim’s Best? I feel extremely honoured and happy .
What do you love the most about what you do? I love making beautiful, tasty works of art, then seeing the expression of pure happiness and gratitude on each of my clients’ faces. It’s honestly the best feeling to create a cake for a client and they are surprised that you were able to create it exactly the way they imagined!

How do you feel about being nominated for Bim’s Best? Great! Excited but still shocked that someone [could] choose me.
What do you love the most about what you do? I just like that I can put a smile on somebody’s face and actually serve people. I learned to cook growing up doing work around the temple [as] I’m a Spiritual Baptist and we have the Cou-cou village so all of my training comes from there.

What do you love the most about what you do? I take pride in my work and I am mostly contented when my customers are pleased when they see the cake they envisioned.
