Students of Bayley’s Primary School will not have to sweat it out any more if they run short of electricity.

They can now enjoy all the comforts of clean energy after an official ceremony was held this morning to kick-start their photovoltaic system at the St Philip based institution.

Senator Harry Husbands, parliamentary secretary in the Ministry of Education, in his address to the youngsters underscored the importance of mathematics if they are going to be part of the technological future.

Permanent Secretary in the Division of Energy and Telecommunications Jehu Wiltshire was also in attendance and gave a brief overview of Government’s commitment to use photovoltaics as a source of energy over the next three decades. (JS)
