Students of the Barbados Community College (BCC) have been barred from parking on the compound following an attack.

And the move is leading to headaches for scores of students on the eve of crucial exams at the Howell’s Road, St Michael institution.

Frustrated students yesterday said that the ban went into effect last Friday, the day after a student drove onto the premises and got out of his vehicle wearing a ski mask and attacked another student with a steel bar. Acting Inspector Roland Cobbler confirmed police were investigating an incident in which a student chased another with a piece of iron.

When students drove up the next day they were informed by security they could no longer park on the compound and directed to the car park of the Ministry of Education’s Higher Education division at the old Bartel building. (SB)
