Three Lodge School old boys have had their legacies immortalised with the naming of two school buildings.

Long-standing sports administrator Owen Estwick, personal assistant to late Prime Minister Errol Barrow, Earl Glasgow, and the first black headboy Major Sam Headley were all honoured by their school yesterday.

The brand-new Estwick and Glasgow Auditorium and refurbished Sam Headley Pavilion were officially unveiled during a three-hour ceremony at the school in Society, St John.

The naming of the structures came after the conclusion of phase three of the school’s $40 million refurbishment, six years after phase one was completed and two years after ground was broken for the auditorium. (AD)
