Two men involved in a vicious altercation that was caught on video have being hospitalised.

Witnesses confirmed that the altercation, which took place on Tuesday afternoon in the River Bus Terminal, was a result of an attempted robbery. In the end, two men were detained at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries.

Police public relations officer Acting Inspector Roland Cobbler confirmed the incident but was unable to provide names of the injured.

“Police responded to a disturbance around 12:20 where a St Joseph man was approached by five men who attacked him. He received a laceration above his left eye. His uncle intervened and he received stab wounds to his upper back. They were both transported to the hospital by ambulance,” Cobbler said. (DB)
