MANASSEH KING isn’t sticking around to find out his fate.
The embattled Barbados Amateur Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (BABFF) president won’t be facing the National Anti-Doping Commission (NADC) board after all, opting instead to quit office just nine months into his latest term.
New BABBF head Dr Alfred Sparman confirmed King’s resignation to the WEEKEND NATION after he refused to comment on the matter while provisionally suspended from the sport.
“From the time I met him he always had a great passion for the sport and only wanted the best for our bodybuilders who he saw great things in,” said King’s former vice president Sparman.
“It’s sad to see him go because he had great vision for bodybuilding and was getting ready to do big things in the sport. But our executive will be taking in a new and bold direction and you can expect to see and hear big things coming very soon.
“We have some very big plans for 2018 that is going to make Manasseh proud and we’re going to hold a press conference in the New Year to announce all of them,” Sparman added. (JM)
