Police name shooting victim

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting the death of 21-year-old Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne, of Lakes Close, Eden Lodge, St Michael, which occurred around 7 p.m., tonight in the same district.

Preliminary investigations revealed that at around 7 p.m., Alleyne was walking through a track in the area of his house when he was approached by a man who shot him multiple times before fleeing the scene.

Alleyne was rushed to the QEH by a private vehicle, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Investigations are continuing. Anyone who can provide information to assist with this investigation is being asked to contact the District ‘A’ Police Station at telephone 430-7242 or 430-7295, Police Emergency number 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800 -TIPS (8477), or the nearest police station.
