$10 000 drug possession fine for St Philip man

A St Philip man has six months to pay a $10 000 fine for unlawful possession of cannabis or he will spend one year in prison.

Twenty-eight-year-old  Rashad Rommel Belgrave of Moncrieffe appeared before Chief Magistrate Christopher Birch in the District “C” Magistrates’ Court today and pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of cannabis , unlawful possession with intent to supply, trafficking  and unlawful possession of apparatus.

He was reprimanded and discharged for the offence of possession with intent to supply and convicted reprimanded and discharged for the latter two offences.

Belgrave was arrested after members of the Major Crime Unit executed a warrant at his residence on Wednesday and discovered the drugs. (PR/NB)
