IT IS A FAITHFUL and true saying that the price of freedom is eternal vigilance. This is true for economic, physical, emotional and even spiritual freedom.
That is why it was so disturbing for me to see [the story on] the Back Page of the last SATURDAY SUN entitled Psychic’s Vision: Astra Predicts A Bloody Year Of Murder And Drugs. In this was outlined all the dastardly predictions for 2018 purported to come from Astra.
What spiritual authority does she have to speak into the life of this nation, and then have you publish it in a newspaper? What’s next? Her own television show?
Why [not ask] for a preacher, prophet or evangelist to pronounce blessings on the island?
Well, let us as Christians take this opportunity to denounce all those curses spoken by Astra.
We denounce the curse of election violence over Barbados. We denounce the curse of murder and bloodshed over Barbados. We denounce the curse of an increase of drug-related crimes over Barbados. We denounce the curse of strange weather patterns or systems over Barbados, all in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God.
We take the spiritual authority given to us by the Lord Jesus Christ to speak peace over the elections; that they be free and fair.
We take authority over the atmosphere over Barbados, that the spirit of murder, vehicular manslaughter, abortion, gang war and every other form of forfeited life will be intercepted and cancelled in the name of Jesus.
We speak the blessing of Almighty God upon our Government, our new Governor General, our schools, our youth, our parents, our ministries, our industries, our workers and unions, and our tourists (strangers within our gates).
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He chose for His inheritance” (Psalm 33: 12). We have a God whose kingdom is light. There is no glory in necromancy, in dealing with familiar spirits and the dark kingdom.
Eternal vigilance, people. Let’s be in prayer and fasting.
