Police name man injured in City stabbing incident

Police have named the man injured in yesterday’s stabbing incident in Marhill Street in Bridgetown.

In an update provided a short time ago, the Royal Barbados Police Force stated that the victim was Michael Alexander Holder, 43 years of No Fixed Place of Abode. Holder was stabbed multiple times about the body.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Holder was involved in an altercation with another man, when he was stabbed multiple times about the body by his assailant who subsequently fled the scene.  Holder was transported to the QEH by ambulance for medical attention. 

Investigations are continuing. Police have asked anyone who can provide any information to assist with the investigation is being asked to contact CID Central at telephone 4307189, or 4307190, Police Emergency number “211”, Crime Stoppers at 1-800 –TIPS (8477), or the nearest police station.
