Members of the public are encouraged to wear blue from Tuesday, January 23, until Saturday, January 27, to mark Blue Week, being hosted by the National Council on Substance Abuse (NCSA).

This forms part of month-long activities for Drug Awareness Month, being celebrated under the theme: Taking Charge of Change.

Blue Week was designed to create a greater awareness about substance abuse, and about the NCSA being present in the community to highlight its programmes and services.

In this regard, a team from the NCSA will be at selected locations to interact with the public through mounted table displays and to conduct a collection drive in aid of the Evergreen Charity.

On Wednesday, January 24, a team will be at Sky Mall from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.; on Thursday, January 25, they will be at Massy Supermarket, Sunset Crest, from 1 to 5 p.m.; and at Cave Shepherd, Broad Street on Saturday, January 27, between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (BGIS)
