The Ministry of Education is looking at the possibility of stationing police officers at schools across the island.

This was revealed by Minister Ronald Jones, who said the move would be part of efforts to increase security.

He made the comments during a press conference at the Ministry’s Constitution Road headquarters this morning.

Jones said even if the presence of police was not permanent, they could be present at the schools during different intervals. (RB)
