Eleven children have been stabbed since the school term started in September last year.
The latest incident took place yesterday at St Leonard’s Boys’ School, where two 16-year-olds fell victim to the spate of violence involving Barbadian children.
Overall, 13 children, all under age 17, were injured during this spike, including one girl who was struck by a rock and a boy who was chopped.
And in a hastily called press conference, officials of the Ministry of Education said they would hasten plans to beef up security measures to protect students and staff. (AD)
