The Barbados Revenue Authority is in the process of transitioning to a new telephone system at its Treasury Building location. The new PBX number is 535-8200.

Carolyn Williams-Gayle, manager communications and PR explained that this is part of the Authority’s continued efforts focused on enhancing service delivery.

“We have been listening to our customers’ concerns and we are taking steps to make improvements in the areas that we can actively change,” she said.

“One of the major items raised has been in relation to the telephone system and we are currently in the process of transitioning to a new system at the Treasury Building. It is expected that the transition at this location should be completed by the end of February and we are asking the public to bear with us as we make this change.”

She further explained that plans were being made for the new system to be implemented across all of the Authority’s locations.

“The plan is to transition all of our offices to the new phone system in due course. Once the system-wide transition has been completed, we will be able to route calls across the network of our offices and we are really looking forward to this.” (PR)
