28 year-old male arrested and charged

Members of the Drug Squad have arrested and formally charged Sheldon Andrew Rogers, twenty-eight (28) years old of Fairfield Cross Road, Tudor Bridge, St Michael, for several drug-related offences committed on Monday, February 12, 2018, while at the Bridgetown Port, St Michael. 

Rogers was arrested and formally charged a number of indictments including unlawful possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to supply, unlawful possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to supply, trafficking of cocaine and importation of cocaine.

The total weight of the cannabis was 5.334 kilograms with an estimated street value of $42,672.00. While the total weight of the cocaine was 2.305 kilograms, with an estimated street value of $115,250.00.

Rogers appeared before Magistrate Cuffy-Sergeant in the District ‘A’ Magistrate Court on Saturday, February 17. He pleaded not guilty to the offences and was granted bail at the sum of $120.000, with one (1) surety, to return to Court on May 17, 2018.

As part of his bail condition, he is required to report to Black Rock Police Station, every Monday, and must surrender his passport to the Court. (PR)
