Man shot dead in Waterford

Police are investigating the shooting death of a 34-year-old St Michael man. It occurred around 11:30 last night at Waterford, St Michael.

Preliminary investigations suggest the man and his 24-year-old girlfriend were walking through a track when they were approached by a lone gunman who shot the man and ran away.

The victim died at the scene.

Police are appealing for anyone who can provide any information to assist with this investigation to contact the District ‘A’ Police Station at telephone 430-7242 or 430-7295, police emergency number 211 Crime Stoppers at 1-800 –TIPS (8477) or the nearest police station.
