Joshua Morris struck a century and Rashad Worrell narrowly missed out on a ton to lead former champions Fusionz Boutique Passage Juniors to a big victory by 171 runs over Empire in the latest round of matches in the Barbados Cricket Supplies Under-13 Tournament.

Playing in the penultimate round of matches last Sunday at the Desmond Haynes Oval, the 13-year-old Morris, batting at No. 3, made 110 off 87 balls and added 123 for the third wicket with Worrell, who finished unbeaten on 96 off 59 balls, ending four shy of his second century of the tournament.

Their efforts helped Passage to an imposing total of 290 for four in 35 overs. Empire, without the services of injured century-maker Nathan Sealy, could manage only 119.

Defending champions Franklyn Stephenson Academy, behind an unbeaten 70 from Zachary Carter, defeated Desmond Haynes Carlton Young Lions by 43 runs at Bennetts.

Former champions CounterPoint Wanderers registered the biggest victory of the day, crushing Cric-Mechanics by 231 runs at Dayrells Road.

Wanderers scored 284 for five from their 35 overs on the backs of Jaden Webster’s 59 and Kamario Grant’s 52 before routing their opponents for 53. (HG/PR)
