Mary Fraser’s athletic career appears to be running in circles.
Controversy continues to follow the multi CARIFTA gold medallist, as the talented distance runner is set to miss Daryll Jordan’s inter-house sports on Friday over a contentious ten-day suspension from school.
Mary’s father Floyd Fraser confirmed the news ahead of the meet at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex after principal Stephen Jackman refused to comment on the matter.
The disciplinary issue apparently stems from one teacher making a charge that Fraser didn’t attend their class and also failed to hand in an unrelated late slip.
But the 17-year-old Fraser claimed she didn’t skip class, having said she didn’t feel well on the day in question before going into the school’s sick bay. (JM)
