Morris gets bail after pleading guilty to cruelty charge

Twenty-two-year-old Latoya Joyanne Morris was released on $500 bail after she pleaded guilty to cruelty to a child in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court today.

The resident of Block 1, Eden Lodge, Housing Area, St Michael appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant.

She was arrested and charged after a social media post showed her abusing a young child.

Morris will return to Court May 4, pending a pre-sentencing report. She was further ordered to continue her enrolment in a parenting class. (PR/NB)
