Three injured in shooting Incident

Police are investigating a shooting incident which occurred around 8:10 p.m. last night at Waithe Land, Upper Goodland, St Michael. The incident resulted in two men and a teenager receiving gunshot injuries.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the two men, ages 56 and 35, and the 16-year-old were part of a group of men in the area, where some of the men were engaged in a game of cards. A man suddenly approached the men and opened fire, causing the men to run. As a result, the 56-year-old received a gunshot injury to his buttocks, the 16-year-old a gunshot injury to his right side, and the 35-year-old a bullet graze to his left elbow.

The three victims were subsequently transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private vehicle.
