The KFC Pinelands Youth Soccer Academy’s U-11, U-13, U-15 and U-17 football teams will kick off their 2018 title campaigns full of confidence and spectacularly turned out in spanking new KFC kit.
The under-11 team will be defending their championship titles in the Barbados Football Association’s (BFA) Guardian General Tournament and the Barbados Cup.
KFC marketing coordinator Shekelia Barrow recently visited the Pinelands soccer headquarters at the Parkinson Resource Centre, Regent Hill, Pinelands, to present the teams and coaches with their new gear.
Barrow said KFC was pleased to continue playing its part in promoting the positive youth development activities of the Pineland’s Youth Soccer Academy, and in ensuring that Pinelands’ soccer teams would be among the best dressed teams on show in all divisions.
“The Pinelands Youth Soccer Academy has done an excellent job over the years to uplift the youth of Pinelands and other local communities through football. KFC salutes them in this effort. We believe that the hard work put in by all the coaches and administrators, with special mention of coach Fernando “Burga” Best, is more than deserving of recognition and our continued support.
“We wish all the teams well during the upcoming season, and we urge them to continue to acquit themselves admirably both on and off of the football field as representatives of the Pinelands community, football fraternity and family, and also of KFC as their committed sponsor and supporter,” Barrow stated.
The longstanding Pinelands soccer sponsor also expressed appreciation to The Brewster Trust and its CEO Axel Bernhardt for the part played in sourcing the high-quality Puma gear out of Germany.
The Brewster Trust, a long-term partner and supporter of the Pinelands Youth Soccer Academy, assisted in sourcing the uniforms for PYSA’s U-11, U-13, U-15 and U-17 teams. The registered charity has a close relationship to PUMA in Germany who also contributed towards the initiative. (PR)
