First-time visitors and regulars had the arrivals hall of the Grantley Adams International airport looking like it was Christmas or Crop Over.

With flights from Canada and the United States, red caps and customs officials were kept busy as aircraft after aircraft landed on the tarmac from 2 p.m.

Newlywed couple, the Taylors, said they didn’t know anything about the island of Barbados but decided to use it for their honeymoon.

The Howards, party of four, also said it was their first time and used the Easter break to have some family time.

Executive cars from Sandy Lane and Royal Westmoreland were seen picking up guests as taxi operators weren’t given time to queue as passengers hurriedly packed into them.

The five rental car companies stationed at the airport had long lines also. (NS)
