The Public is advised that as a result of the annual Oistins Fish Festival the following traffic management changes have been implemented effective Saturday, March 31 from 3 p.m. until 12 midnight and Monday, April 2 from 3 p.m. until 12 midnight.
∙ Traffic travelling in an easterly direction along Maxwell main road, Christ Church towards Oistins will not be permitted beyond its junction with Cane Vale Road, Christ Church. All vehicular traffic with the exception of Public Service Vehicles will be diverted at the Cane Vale road junction.
∙ Traffic travelling in a westerly direction towards Oistins via Thornbury Hill road will be diverted at its junction with Pegwell Boggs. Only public service vehicles will be permitted to travel along the regular route through Oistins.
∙ Traffic travelling towards Oistins via Oistins Hill will be permitted to access their residences, Oistins car park or the service station but will not be allowed free access onto Oistins main road; exits will be via same route along Oistins Hill.
∙ Traffic travelling along Enterprise main road will be diverted at the junction of Oistins main road onto Pegwell main road. Only public service vehicles will be allowed access onto Oistins main road.
The Royal Barbados Police Force encourages the travelling public to comply with the directions given by Police officers on duty who will be regulating traffic. Also wishing you a safe and enjoyable Oistins Festival and Easter holidays. (PR)
