Forty students who will be writing the Barbados Secondary Schools’ Entrance Examination (Common Entrance) on May 8 got a chance to test their skills yesterday in a mock examination.

Organised by the Holder’s Seventh Day Adventist Church 11 plus success programme, it was held at Queen’s College, Husbands St James, under conditions and time frame similar to what they will experience when the real examination comes around.

Educator Winston Cumberbatch coordinated the event which is in its 12th year.

“I sensed a need for children at this level to be less tense when the exam comes around each year and one way to do this is to come into the setting where they will do the examination,” he said. (RL)
