Two employees of the Bridgetown Port as well as the driver of a freighting truck have been reportedly taken into custody after what was said to be a million dollar drug bust at the Bridgetown Port yesterday.

Police have released no official details in relation to the matter.

However, an employee of Barbados Port Incorporated told Starcom Network that two of his colleagues and the driver of a truck were arrested after the vehicle was intercepted.

The driver was reportedly trying to leave the port with a large amount of drugs.

The employee suggested at least one of the workers might have been under surveillance previously on suspicion of being involved in illicit activity. (Starcom Network)
