The theme was all white, the atmosphere ethereal and it was enjoyed by scores of Barbadians joining guests from all over the world, taking in the festivities to mark the official opening of Nikki Beach Barbados last week.
The grand opening White Party, a signature event for the world-famous luxury beach restaurant, featured music, fashion, top drawer entertainment, gourmet dishes accompanied with champagne flowing like the rippling waves gently lashing the shores of the Six Men’s, St Peter facility. Dom Perignon and Perrier-Jouet were the brands in big demand.
Guest after guest arrived to a rousing individual welcome by Nikki Beach staff lining a vine-lined tunnel decorated with flowers, butterflies and photos on the walls.
For diners, it was a gastronomical experience with a menu featuring Nikki Beach’s signature three-course sharing platters. There was seafood, sushi, rotisserie boards and an assortment of desserts.
The Nikki Beach White Party invitation is coveted the world over since only one such party is held at a Nikki Beach location every year. (GC)
