The St Lawrence Primary school has reopened this morning. Scores of parents and guardians dropped off their children from as early as 8:30 a.m.
Principal of the school Andrea Cheltenham said she was happy to be back home and that the children were settling in well.
“We appreciate those who helped us in the facilitation of our students moving temporarily. It is good to be back so we can operate as a cohesive unit and our graduation is in a few weeks, so we will be able to coordinate that properly.”
The school closed in February due to environmental issues. Some of the students were relocated to the St Lawrence church in Christ Church, St Matthias Church in Hastings and the Arthur Smith Primary school in Christ Church. (SB)
