RBPF meets with party reps

The Royal Barbados Police Force has met with representatives of the various political parties that will be contesting the general elections on May 24.

The recent meeting addressed several matters anticipated based on previous elections, issues in respect of public safety and law and order.

There was a specific focus on the need to have free, fair elections.

Discussion also centred around the erection and removal of posters and requests for permission to hold meetings, marches, and motorcades.

The parties were reminded that they must make their requests in a timely manner.

All parties were said to be happy with the topics discussed.(JS)
