A man was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance (QEH) after an apparent hit and run earlier tonight.
The situation occurred along the Ronald Mapp Highway, meters away from the Sandy Lane Golf Course.
Several drivers who spotted the man laid out on the dark road stopped to check on him.
One of the drivers who stopped said he believed the incident took place around 6:45 p.m.Â
He said he pulled over after watching the vehicle in front of him drive ahead.
Though barely audible the injured man said he was struck as he was walking.
As he was being carried away by the medical personnel, he screamed in pain. (TG)
