Pilgrim plans for St John

Infrastructure and public transportation are among the priorities of new Democratic Labour Party candidate for St John George Pilgrim.

These priorities were contained his mini manifesto which was circulated last night at a DLP meeting in Gall Hill, St John.

Pilgrim also said he intends to launch a charity called Keep St John Great as well as a lawn care and maintenance programme.

Speaking at the same meeting, Minister of Education Ronald Jones accused Opposition Leader Mia Mottley of handpicking most of the country’s Youth Commissioners.

The long-standing Christ Church East Central member of parliament claimed they were chosen even though they didn’t possess the appropriate qualifications, noting the Barbados Labour Party candidate for St John was one of them.

Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler said the BLP hates the people of St John with a passion.

He made the charge while wrapping up the meeting and contended that the BLP did not spend “a single penny” on the St John Polyclinic during the 14 years they were in power, leaving the DLP to complete it. (EZS)
