Man injured in St James shooting

Police are investigating a shooting incident which resulted in the injury of one man. This occurred sometime around 5:45 this morning at Risk Road, Fitts Village, St James.

Sylvester Small, 65, of the said address received a gunshot injury to his upper right shoulder.

Small was at standing outside the door of his residence when a young man approached him, pointed a firearm in his direction and discharged a shot.

Small was struck in the upper section of his right shoulder and the assailant ran away. Small was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance for medical attention.
