Two collisions, one person injured

Police are investigating two accidents which occurred today.

The first happened about 9:15 a.m. along the Barrow Section of the ABC Highway, about 100 yards south of the JTC Ramsay Roundabout.

It involved a car driven by Leander Clarke, 37, of #1 Fitts Village, St James and a truck owned by C.O. Williams Construction Ltd and driven by 52-year-old David Shepherd of Diamond Valley, St Philip.

Police say both vehicles were travelling towards Pine Hill Diary when the collision occurred. The car was pushed onto the jersey barrier. 

Both vehicles sustained minor damage and no injuries were reported.

The second accident occurred around 1:10 p.m. at the Clyde Walcott Roundabout, Hothersal Turning, St Michael.

It  involved a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Reschille Cox of Emerald Park, St Philip and one driven by 38-year-old Nicole Alleyne of Pitcher Hill, St Patrick’s, Christ Church.

Alleyne’s car overturned in the carriageway while Cox’s mounted the central island of the roundabout.

Alleyne complained of pain to her neck and right hand and was transported via ambulance to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for medical attention. (PR/NB)
