Man robbed by five armed masked men

A Brittons Hill, St Michael man is now nursing a gunshot injury after five masked men armed with weapons entered his home and robbed him of several items.

Police say 24-year-old Roscae Chandler reported that the weapons included a gun, two knives and two hammers.

He was robbed of jewellery, clothing, cell phones and money.

Chandler was reportedly awoken by the men around 2:50 a.m. There was a brief struggle and a gunshot was discharged, hitting him in the upper left arm.

The men searched the house, took the items and fled the scene on foot.

An ambulance was summoned and Chandler was treated and discharged at the scene.
