The Barbados Light & Power Company Ltd. has apologised to customers who were affected by a power outage today.
The outage occurred around 9:52 a.m. and full restoration was completed at 11:49 a.m.
Customers in the north and central parts of the island along with those along the west coast and in parts of Christ Church were affected.
BL&P said the outage was caused by the failure of an insulator on a power transformer at the Spring Garden plant.
“Our teams have been working to further investigate the cause of the equipment failure while they were simultaneously working to safely restore power in the shortest time possible,” the company said on its Facebook page. (NB)
