Employers should note that the Ministry of Finance, Economic Affairs and Investment has changed the effective date of the new upper income tax band from July 1 to August 1.

The introduction of a new upper income tax band of 40 per cent on those whose assessable incomes are greater than $75 001, is part of the changes which the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Investment, Mia Amor Mottley, announced as part of the Mini-Budget on June 11.
