IT WAS PURE BACCHANAL yesterday in the Magistrates’ Court No. 2 in Bridgetown.

For about two to three minutes, the unexpected and unbelievable took place.

Two handcuffed accused men traded blows much to the astonishment of presiding Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant and the bewilderment of attorneys, lawmen and other workers in the court.

Fortunately, quick intervention by policemen and prison officers ended the scuffle.

The men involved were two Christ Church residents, Rashad Kemar Moore, 28, of Vauxhall, and Malcolm Marlon Archer, 23, of Sweet Street, Lowthers Hill.

They were part of four co-accused – along with Shaquille Oneal Orlando Cumberbatch, 23, of 3rd Avenue Parris Gap, Westbury Road, St Michael, and Ramone Sharone Henderson Griffith, 25, also of Sweet Street, Lowthers Hill, who were back before the courts. (RA)
