Keep the buggery laws in place!
That’s the view of a five-member panel of Christian activists in defence of maintaining the traditional Barbadian family based on biblical principles and values.
Participating in a discussion organised by Project Hope Ministries, a Christian education organisation, medical practitioner Dr Lynda Williams cautioned against an LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) agenda which she said would lead to a “deconstruction” of the family.
Expressing concern about the impact of the LGBT agenda, Ambrose Carter, an advocate of“pure sex”, said a change in the laws would lead to a child seeking medical attention without a parent’s knowledge.
“A child can seek a sex change without a parent’s knowledge,” he told an audience at the Nazarene church at Collymore Rock last Saturday.
“I should be able to say I stand for biblical sex,” Carter, who heads Ammar Empowerment Network, said. (HH)
